Professional Roof Repair by Gary’s Gutter Service, Inc.
Roof issues or roof leaks should not be left unattended. When a roof goes without much-needed repairs for a long period of time, it might need replacement or it could damage the interior of your house. The issue should be addressed by a professional roofing company as soon as possible. When you hire a roofing company, knowing what to expect during the repair job can be very helpful. At Gary’s Gutter Service, Inc., we will do the following to repair your roof:
Clean the surface: The first step is to clean the area to be worked on. We will use a pressure washer to effectively remove any growth or debris from the roof. If your roof has broken shingles or torn and water logged pieces, we will use a clam hammer to remove the offending materials.
Fix the shingles: If you have loose, damaged or missing shingles, our professionals will fix the loose shingles or replace the damaged or missing ones.
Plug the leaks: We will use a technique specific to your type of roofing material to plug roof leaks.
Release ponding water: Ponding water typically occurs on a flat or low-slope roof during intense storms, or from air conditioning condensation. Our professionals will determine why the water is not draining properly. We may either restructure the roof slightly to change the water flow, or add a device called a cricket, which is used to divert water flow.
Seal the cracks: If we notice a crack on your roof, we will apply a roofing mastic which is almost tar-like in feel and color, along with a reinforced webbing, over the crack. We will then add another layer of mastic to seal the webbing.
